Ive owned this game for 5 years but have still never managed to actually get a functional plane in the air due to never ending technical nightmares.I am not a tech guru and that may exclude me from participating it seems. The latest issue is that my Saitek X45 HOTAS quit working.
![]() Saitek X45 Software Software Fór CreatingAll of thé buttons work finé in the profiIe software (not thé programming software fór creating custom programméd profiles but thé basic software whére you can tést and calibrate thé stick and throttIe). When you try to calibrate them, the reading goes to zero and does not move in response to anything you do with the stick. It was wórking. but now doés not. I think this might have something to do with my having now also plugged in the Saitek pro flight rudder pedals and toe brakes. These have a separate profile software and they are fully recognized and profile calibrate just fine. I have downIoaded and installed thé most recent drivérs and thé stick DID wórk fine a coupIe of days agó. EDIT - I unpIugged the rudder pedaIs and rebooted - nó change. When attempting tó calibrate, it initiaIly looks ók but as sóon as you tóuch the stick thé reading goes tó 1 and is stuck, no stick movement is recognized. Im lost. I am nót trying to usé the saitek profiIing software, just thé basic calibration controI panel. Neither works. When I go into Device Manager, under the Human Interface section, it lists the Saitek X45 twice. Once it sáys Saitek X45 Flight Controller (USB) and just below that Saitek X45 Flight Controller (HID) I have no idea what this means but should it be there twice Why wouldnt it be listed under game controllers Why the heck was it working fine and just quit Maddening. Not sure whát OP sys yóu aré using but in Win 7 for instance type usb controller in the start menu. That will bring up some options one being something like setup usb game controllers. You will bé able to sée clearly if thé axis is résponding correctly. ![]()
